Five of my favourite books were listed in HT-Cafe, Picking Order section. It was very difficult to pick only five and long after sending the list I kept coming up with more : Animal farm, Blind watchmaker, Cosmos, All things bright and beautiful, to name a few. And then there are a whole set of travelogues - In Xanadu, Chasing the monsoon, other genre masterpieces.. what's a person to do.
The layout was eye-catching, no doubt due to the colorful choice of the image. Though it was a toss-up between P&P and Emma, it felt almost inevitable that Pride and Prejudice should be in the list. The first three would fare in the 'books that shook me' list as well.
